For 18 years, Donyal had loved living in her big old home set on 2.1 acres. Although she was determined to stay in the house, the mortgage repayments proved too much, and she was forced to put her beloved home up for sale. Shaynna started by replacing all the flooring with both carpet and walnut vinyl planks. While the dark timber in the kitchen was originally heavy and foreboding, the layout was good, so Shaynna simply sprayed the cabinetry and benchtops with fresh white paint and contrasted the palette with our statement black Lenore pendants.

The enormous open plan kitchen, living and dining area looked cold and bare. By replacing the old aluminium doors with warm timber frames, painting the walls and using a combination of our Reed floor and table lamps, Shaynna cleverly created two welcoming and defined family spaces.
Create a warm welcome
First impressions are everything, and all it took to modernise this previously uninviting entry way was new flooring, a side table and our Marcel pendant and Arlington table lamp.
